Yeast, flour, water and a little salt - plenty of patience and elbow- grease and our students were amazed with
what they achieved. Each of them went home with enough bread to feed their family and friends.
9th March 2013 - Luscious Legumes
A creative day spent focusing on the numerous ways to work with lentils - we were so touched that the students raved
about it on Twitter.
16th February 2013 - Cakey Bakey Tart
11lbs of butter and 72 eggs later and the Claremont Kitchen was filled with sweet treats. The centre picture shows
what can happen when you get over excited during the mixing phase. The victoria sponge (right)
was sent to us by Alison Taylor who followed our recipe at home, to the letter, and ended up with a splendid cake!
27th October 2012 - Just Bread - Bubbling yeast and exploding bread!
Halloween is almost upon us, so the expanding bread came as no surprise - there was definately a spell cast upon
our bread machine! The day was long, the bread amazing and John's ability to cover himself from head to toe in flour - truly memorable,
as was we hope, the day will be for all our students; especially for Teresa who came to celebrate a birthday with her loving family.
